The Italian Job is a 2003 heist film directed by F. Gary Gray, written by Wayne and Donna Powers and produced by Donald DeLine. It is an American remake of the 1969 British film of the same name, but despite the shared title, the plot and characters of this film differ from those of its source material; Gray described the film as "an homage to the original." The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron, Jason Statham, Edward Norton, Seth Green, Mos Def and Donald Sutherland.

After Earth

After Earth is a 2013 American science fiction action adventure film written by Gary Whitta and M. Night Shyamalan whom also was the director. The story line was based on an original story idea by Will Smith, who also stars in the film along side his son Jaden Smith. Will Smith also was the producer via his company Overbrook Entertainment, distributed by Columbia Pictures. Originally released on May 31, 2013, it received negative reviews from critics and was considered a summer flop in North America. The film performed unexpectedly well in Europe and was a commercial success.

Serenity is a 2005 American space western film and a continuation of Whedon's short-lived 2002 Fox science fiction television series Firefly and stars the same cast, taking place after the events of the final episode in the series. It received generally positive reviews but it did not make back its budget until its home media release. Serenity won numerous awards, including the 2006 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.

Besson started writing the story that became The Fifth Element when he was 16 years old. When the film opened, he was 38. Comic book writers Jean Giraud and Jean-Claude Mézières, whose comics provided inspiration for parts of the film, were hired for production design. Costume design was by Jean-Paul Gaultier. The film stars Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman, Milla Jovovich, and many others.
