10 out of 10

Serenity is a 2005 American space western film and a continuation of Whedon's short-lived 2002 Fox science fiction television series Firefly and stars the same cast, taking place after the events of the final episode in the series. It received generally positive reviews but it did not make back its budget until its home media release. Serenity won numerous awards, including the 2006 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.

This is a great addition to the original Firefly series. It has pretty much the same dynamics of the original in a movie format. You have to watch the series before the movie to fully enjoy it, but you don't have to but it's highly recommended that you do. Great movie, great series, great glimpse into our possible future.

The crew of the ship Serenity tries to evade an assassin sent to recapture one of their number who is telepathic.
