Firefly is an American space western drama television series created by writer and director Joss Whedon who acted as an executive producer along side Tim Minear. The series is set in the year 2517, after the arrival of humans in a new star system and follows the adventures of Serenity's renegade crew. The cast includes Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, Summer Glau, and Ron Glass.

World War Z, directed by Marc Forster, is a 2013 American disaster zombie movie. The screenplay is based on the  2006 novel of the same name by Max Brooks. Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment procured the film rights is 2007. After screenplay rewrites, reshoots and release delays, the final feature received positive reviews and was a commercial success, grossing over $540 million against a production budget of $190 million. A sequel was announced shortly after the film's release.
