It was adapted to film by Anthony McCarten from Jane Wilde Hawking's book, Traveling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen, a memoir of her relationship with her ex-husband, theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, his diagnosis of ALS and his success in physics.
