Iron Sky is a 2012 Finnish-Australian-German comic science fiction action film directed by Timo Vuorensola and written by Johanna Sinisalo and Michael Kalesniko. It stars Christopher Kirby, Götz Otto, Peta Sergeant, Stephanie Paul, and Udo Kier.

Iron Sky comes from the creators of Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning and was produced by Tero Kaukomaa of Blind Spot Pictures and Energia Productions, co-produced by New Holland Pictures and 27 Films, and co-financed by numerous individual supporters. It was theatrically released throughout Europe in April 2012. A director's cut of the film with 20 additional minutes was released on DVD and Blu-ray on 11 March 2014. A second movie is slated to come out in 2016.

The story line was based on an original story idea by Will Smith, who also stars in the film along side his son Jaden Smith. Will Smith also was the producer via his company Overbrook Entertainment, distributed by Columbia Pictures. Originally released on May 31, 2013, it received negative reviews from critics and was considered a summer flop in North America. The film performed unexpectedly well in Europe and was a commercial success.

Development began with the cancellation of Spider-Man 4, ending the Spider-Man film series directed by Sam Raini starring Tobey Maguire. Columbia Pictures opted to reboot the franchise.

The film was directed by Marc Webb, written by James Vanderbilt, Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves and stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curtis Connors, Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy along with Martin Sheen and Sally Field as the uncle and aunt of Peter Parker, Ben Parker and May Parker.

Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment procured the film rights is 2007. After screenplay rewrites, reshoots and release delays, the final feature received positive reviews and was a commercial success, grossing over $540 million against a production budget of $190 million. A sequel was announced shortly after the film's release.
